University of Dayton LitFest: Workshops, open mic, and the Slam!

On Saturday, April 6th, Worlds Renewed, Worlds Reimagined, will host three workshops in flash fiction, poetry, and Slam Poetry for UD students and the Miami Valley Community. Workshops take place in the Philips Humanities Center, University of Dayton. Check-ins begin at 9:30am.

At 5pm, Dayton poet Adam Williams will host an open mic in the newest building on the University of Dayton’s campus in the south student nieghborhood: the Adele Center. This open mic will be co-hosted by Orpheus and be held in the McGinnis Room.

And Litfest will close at 8pm with it’s annual Poetry Slam (the first even Link ever attended). No fee to enter and open to the public with a grand prize of $250 cash! The Slam will follow strict rules: 3:10 second time limit, no props, no musical accompaniment, and no costumes.
