<image:caption>Nathan Tipton is best known to you for his work on potentially nothing… Buuuut! If you have seen this weird photo face-morph kiosk looking combo of Bill Nye and Ellen DeGeneres across Ohio, he was most likely reading poetry in a bow tie trying to help people love themselves. Oooor! He was playing guitar to help facilitate good vibes in an art show, wedding, or open mic. He received a BS in Physics and a Minor in Music from Wright State University in the spring of 2017, and is attending Penn State University for a Masters in Acoustics to help him explore the field of sound. He actually does enjoy long walks on the beach even though he’s only been there a handful of times, and he wrote this in third person which did feel weirdly masturbatory.</image:caption>

Since the release, not only has Hunter carved a name for himself in the midwest live performance and slam circuits, he’s become an inspiring and necessary voice and activist in his local community; from assisting in support to the Flint Water Crisis to speaking at local BLM protests. On December 16th, HuntorPrey will return to his craft with the release of his newest project, the riveting “Running Man” EP, produced entirely by Ill Poetic, via Definition Music.. “This EP is an intimate view of the city I grew up in (Toledo) and the community that raised me, The Junction. From there, the record branches out to the macro issues we’ve been facing as a (people/country/etc) these past few years. I want this project to feel closer to the listener. So it’s very lyric-centered. The music is stripped down and the scope is a mix of both hip-hop and spoken word.” HuntorPrey’s “Running Man” will be available on all streaming and purchasing platforms with physical product and performances to be announced shortly. Pre-Order “Running Man” HERE. Enjoy our first release from the EP, “Cornerstore (Acoustic)” featuring CJ the Cynic & Charles Foster.</image:caption>

For the past year, he has been one of two poets organizing and hosting the Dayton Poetry Slam, a bi-weekly open mic event in Dayton, Ohio. His poetry is ears-open and eyes-wide, and seeks to shed light on interpersonal and social issues through the use of personal experience. In his free time, he enjoys bobbing for apples, saving up nuts for the winter, and eating his way out of gingerbread houses.</image:caption>

<image:title>Good Reads - "Polychotomy," the debut poetry collection by Adelia Jupiter.</image:title>
<image:caption>Through the lens of a god broken down by the trauma of mortal existence, these poems explore the multifaceted nature of identity from the very beginning. Despite the fractures, the pieces journey from pain, blame, and self-loathing toward self-love, compassion, and the extraordinary sensation of acceptance. "Polychotomy" is a powerful testament to rising from brokenness and embracing the divine within, inviting readers to witness the evolution of the self into the synthesis of godhood and humanity.</image:caption>

<image:title>Good Reads - About Steven M Wuebker:</image:title>
<image:caption>Life as a corporate executive, a culinary professional, a retail associate, and a lover of all-things creative, Steven M. Wuebker writes from a perspective of having “lived 100 lives” as one reader has stated. His ability to incorporate everyday nuances, current events, magical moments, and never-ending hope for the future into his poetry is uncanny. His poems are short in length yet exceptionally detailed in wordplay. His writing magically stimulates intense and deep imagery, aimed at creating mental montages that linger long after the page is turned. He hails from southwestern Ohio and “Pages Torn From A Plague...” is his first book of poetry.</image:caption>

<image:title>Good Reads - “for the birds…truly”</image:title>
<image:caption>Gabby Loomis-Amrhein’s debut collection seeks to address trans struggle and liberation in the crepuscularity and in-betweenness of rural being. Showing the country itself as queer, "evening primroses" serves as a sort of field guide for growth and change in that space, marking the passage of time between woodcock dance and trillium bloom, a record of having been, becoming, coming out.</image:caption>

<image:title>Good Reads - “(…) My body is a temple. Therefore I am always home”.</image:title>
<image:caption>Sometimes we get the privilege to know the indicative years of our life while we are living them, so we take more pictures, listen to more songs that make us feel like we are in a movie, and write down every memory that makes us warm. The last year of my twenties felt overwhelmingly sacred to me; I knew that life would continue to not go as expected but I needed to taste every moment. In this body, at this time, with my community and alone I desperately wanted to capture it all. I stopped trying to sell myself and invested in what I loved instead. I stopped trying to explain myself and learned to just be, it's been intoxicating.</image:caption>

He's worked tirelessly to offer a microphone to anyone in the Miami Valley and allow them to get their voice out to the public. When not working a poetry show, he's teaching online courses for Strayer University and enjoying life being a husband and a #girldad</image:caption>

<image:title>Meet the Co-Hosts - Make it stand out</image:title>
<image:caption>Johnathon was born in 1985, there is still much debate being had about whether or not this was a mistake. Johnathon was always a bright student, with a penchant for socializing and being the center of his attention. Because of this, he attended college at Wright State University where he'd earn his bachelor's degree in Mass Communication. He DJed at the University radio station, WWSU, where he was also General Manager during his final two years as student. After graduating, Johnathon would work several retail jobs. Many people would say he drifted during this time, although he has assured us he didn't make enough money to go anywhere prior to getting his current job in 2011. After getting that job though, he did start going places. In 2015, he went to Colorado and attended his first poetry slam thanks to his friend Lindsay Thomas. Upon returning home, he went to his first Dayton Poetry Slam Show. After a year or so, he would begin to help co-organize the event. Johnathon lives with his fiance, Kristina, in Dayton, Ohio. They have two dogs (Pugsley and Arlo), a cat (Corin), and a crested gecko (Bowie). They have taken on the title the King and Queen of Halloween When asked how they obtained this title, Johnathon referred us to Monty Python and the Holy Grail.</image:caption>

<image:title>Meet the Co-Hosts - Meet Ayesha!</image:title>
<image:caption>Ayesha was born in 1994, making her the baby leg of the quadruped! She is an aspiring poet, fiction writer, and can play at least 3 instruments half-way. Her hobbies consist of too many crafts, being a member of a social justice choir known as The World House Choir, which is based out of Yellow Springs, and spending an obscene amount of her free time playing video games that are objectively too difficult for her. Ayesha lives with her many plants, her two cats, Izzy and Castiel, and her puppy, Bellatrix Lestrange Alexander. She will indeed talk your ear off about any of them if prompted. She hopes to see you on the stage at our upcoming shows!</image:caption>

<image:title>Meet the Co-Hosts - Meet Morgan!</image:title>
<image:caption>Morgan started attending DPS in 2019 to support her friend (Ayesha's) poetry readings. She instantly fell in love and has continued attending ever since. Eventually she was inspired enough by all of her talented peers to begin writing poetry herself. Morgan's biggest passion is music, specifically singing, and she enjoys performing with World House Choir based out of Yellow Springs. Morgan also collects hobbies; including knitting, crochet, cross stitch, needle felting, photography, and jogging. She co-hosts a podcast about the joys of reading and friendship with fellow DPS host, Ayesha. The podcast is called Good Reads, Better Friends. Morgan spends a lot of her free time singing to her cats, eating cheese, and dreaming up unrealistic scenarios in her head. She is most happy when her hair is dyed an obnoxious color.</image:caption>
