Dear friends...today is our 18th birthday!  Yeah!  We can officially register for the draft...join the military...but the slam still can't officially drink yet.  : (

But that doesn't mean we can't have a blast!  We're going old school tonight with a traditional Slam.  3 minutes with a 10 second grace period; no props or musical accompaniment, and no costumes (Yellow Cab Tavern also reminds me that we still have a strict no-nudity clause, as well).  Your own work and the winner takes home an old-school Slam prize plus 2 poems published right here on our website!

AND THERE WILL BE CAKE AND PARTY HATS!
