This year Dayton Poetry Slam is bringing March in like a lion with our hometown feature Prophessor X. We'll kick the evening off with a round of open mic, and close it the same way. In between. Prophessor X will shout the whispers of a nation.

Cleavon “Prophessor X” Matthews Jr, is a native of Memphis, TN; now residing in Dayton, OH is a Writer, Poet, Performer, and Public Speaker allowing his Gifts to Inspire a generation to Rise and Grab Freedom, by staking their claim for individuality in a time of clones. X is a member of Underdog Academy and co-host of Dayton Poetry Slam. Fulfilling his purpose to help restore the Faith shattered by the lies of Past Generations that have been pushed through Modern Society; Utilizing, Literature, History, Philosophy, Popular Culture, among a variety of other subjects, to relay messages of Love and Truth. Offering priceless Healing Mending the Hearts of Generations to come.
