As many of you may have heard, Brett Bartlett passed away on June 5th. She was always a source of love and positivity, not just to those of us at the slam, but to many people throughout the Greater Dayton Area.

Dayton Poetry Slam would like to invite anyone who knew Brett to join us at Yellow Cab Tavern on June 18th. Feel free to use this time to share a story about Brett with all of us, hug, grieve, provide comfort to one another, or whatever else you need.

We will be making the microphone and stage available for anyone who wants to use it. If you're nervous about speaking in public, please know you will be supported on stage and get hugs when you get off.

We will be showing the video of Brett's Senior Capstone from UD at the end of the evening.

Tissues will be provided.

If you would like to read a poem or share a story or memory about Brett, please message the slam on either Facebook or Instagram. This will allow us to keep the evening flowing smoothly.
